Handy Milwaukee Accessories to Have Around

April 20, 2019 by Amy Leave a Comment

You probably already know Milwaukee for their high performing and tough power tools, but they also make clever and useful accessories to make the job a little easier. I am going to highlight a 3 new Milwaukee Accessories for this year.

Milwaukee Pivoting Rechargeable Flashlight (500 Lumen LED)

#1 My favorite feature of this flashlight is the 110 deg pivoting head. I can place the base on the ground and pivot the head to light up the work space!  The base has a strong magnet too, so you can stick it on a metal surface, then position the light beam as desired.  Super handy!!! Or there is a clip that you can clip to your shirt pocket and pivot the light in the right direction.

#2 it is a rechargeable flashlight! The REDlithium battery is recharged with a braided micro-USB cable.

The Milwaukee flashlight has 3 light modes:

  • Spot high mode: 500 lumens- 2.5 hours
  • Flood high mode: 400 lumens- 3 hours
  • Flood low mode: 100 lumens- 10 hours
  • The light output is what they call TRUEVIEW high definition, so it is suppose to be real-like coloring.

Last but not least, is that this flashlight is durable, I’ve already accidentally dropped it on hard surfaces a few times with no issues.

This flashlight is the new favorite for me!!!

Milwaukee Torch Carbide Metal Cutting Recip Blade (7 teeth per inch)

Next up is the torch metal cutting blade, made specifically for thicker metals.

The Torch reciprocating saw blade has carbide teeth for 50X life cutting thick metal over a standard metal blade.  It has 7 TPI (teeth per inch) for fast efficient cutting in thick metals, including a variety of steels, stainless steel, black pipe and cast iron. The tooth design is for speed and durability, 25% more carbide per tooth for longest life and 70% larger gullets for rapid chip removal.  The blad is a tall 1 inch body for sturdy cutting and the blade doesn’t ‘flop’ around like the standard metal cutting blade.

A reciprocating saw is only as good as the blade you put in it. You have to have the right blade for the job, and the Torch is a great option for cutting thick metal.

Milwaukee Extra Bold Chalk Reel (100 feet)

The last feature for this round is Milwaukee’s Extra Bold chalk reel. This isn’t your standard chalk reel.

The chalk reel boasts a long 100 ft string (or there is a 150 ft option), but the string isn’t your normal thin string it is more like a small rope. So how bold is it?  This chalk line is so bold that you can use it on the ground and have a clear line, of course it’s great on the cement too.

The body of this chalk reel is quite large about 10″ tall, 6 1/4″ wide and 3 3/8″ thick. The chalk reel holds A LOT of chalk, upto 18 oz!  The nice thing about the large body is that it is really easy to fill the chalk, no funnel is needed.

The planetary gear system gives you a smooth and quick retraction with a 4:1 ratio. The handle is metal and includes a line lock.

We’ve been planning a potential garage addition, so it’s been handy to mark out the footprint. It’ll also get some use when I’m laying out my pergola and neighborhood playground.

I often think that I’m set in my tools and accessories, and then you find something else that is even better.  It helps feed my tool addiction. 🙂
