Husky Mechanics Tools Set Review

We drive old cars at this house. It’s even become somewhat of a joke. One day at my husband’s work, a building wide email was sent out notifying the employees that a “mature Volkswagon” has it’s lights on in the parking lot.  A few minutes later, a colleague sent an email to my husband wondering if that was his “mature Passat” with the lights on. 🙂 It wasn’t his car with the lights on, but the politically correct “mature” in reference to old cars has stuck! 🙂 🙂

Our mature Passat is 20 years old, and my husband has been a champ at keeping it running. That poor car has needed a lot of TLC over the years in the engine department.

The problem we’ve run into with standard ratchet sets is that you’ll be in the middle of a car fix and you’ll need that one special tool that you don’t have. It’s super frustrating because you have to stop what you’re doing and run to the store and hope they have it.

One thing we love about this kit is that it comes with so many specialty bits and ratchet features that help you in those tight places!

432-piece Husky Mechanics Tool Set

Features:

  • The Mechanics Tool Set comes with 432-pieces – the largest assortment of tools for the Husky line.
  • Note: This kit does not come with a carrying case. In my opinion, you’ll definitely want a rolling tool box for this set!

Features:

  • 3 ratchet drives (1/4″, 3/8″ and 1/2″)
    • 2 ratchets with flex heads (1/2″, 3/8″)

  • Chrome finish provides corrosion resistance and added durability
  • Quick-release button allows sockets and drive tools to be easily removed from the ratchet
  • Sockets have chamfer lead-ins help to provide fast and easy placement onto fasteners
  • Sockets are designed with off corner loading to help prevent the rounding of fasteners
  • 187 different standard and deep sockets
  • 42 bit sockets for specialty fastening or repair work (aka spark plug)

  • Chrome finish provides corrosion resistance and added durability

Overall this is an awesome kit, it seems to have ‘everything’ needed to fix those cars! The quality and finish of the tools is great. The gears all run very smoothly. This is a great kit whether you are a professional or a DIY mechanic like us.
